Shelby, a two-year-old cat who was pregnant, wanderedaound the streets looking for food and shelter. Fortunately, a kind-hearted person spotted her and provided her with food. As a result, Shelby gave birth to some lovely kittens.
As the kids of the feline mom grew up, they were unfortunately apprehended and delivered to an animal care center nearby. However, things took a positive turn when Purrfect Pals, a rescue organization based in Arlington, Washington, intervened and rescued the whole cat clan from the facility. The animals were transferred to a foster home with experts to provide them with the appropriate care they needed.
During the vet’s examination, there was an unexpected finding that took everyone by surprise – the cat was pregnant again! This was quite unusual as she was still nursing her previous litter. John, who had ample experience in taking care of animals, decided to take it upon himself to look after Shelby and her kittens. Four adorable kittens were born on August 25th, all of them healthy and robust. Sadly, one of the newborns named Sparky couldn’t make it and fought for his life for four days before passing away.
During the farewell of Sparky, as he began to settle in his mother’s arms, Shelby surprised everyone by giving birth to her fifth kitten. The unexpected event took place while Shelby was being driven from the vet and the newest addition to the family was a female kitten named Lizzy.
According to veterinarians, this little feline came into the world with a lot of energy and vitality. To everyone’s amazement, Lizzy was born four days later than her littermates.
Shelby constantly kept the little feline companion close by, making sure it was well-fed and groomed, while keeping a watchful eye on its every move.
At just two weeks old, Lizzie was already chowing down with gusto and packing on the pounds like a pro! Though John noted she was on the petite side for her age, her energy levels were definitely on the up and up.
As time went by, Lizzie’s small feet grew more steady and her overall strength increased!
She was a bundle of energy, jumping on anything she could find and playing endlessly with her mother and siblings!
By the way, Shelby is a momma cat who loves to play and craves attention just like a little kitten. When it was time for her and her daughter Lizzie to move into a new home, their guardians made sure they wouldn’t be separated. On November 17, the two felines bid farewell to the shelter and embarked on a new adventure! Thankfully, they found a loving family with caring owners who already had two more furry sisters for them to play and snuggle with.
Shelby and Lizzy are living comfortably in their fresh abode, having already formed connections with all family members. These two inseparable companions, comprising Mom Shelby and her lovely kitten Lizzy, are now content andaored!
